A New Venue

NNWAC is working to secure/create/transform a permanent cultural center at St Paul's Church at 2215 W North Avenue between Leavitt and Bell. Take a look at photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/acmeartworks/sets/370292/
We are leaving behind a wind blown Western Avenue and settling into a magical space of authentic stained glass, and carved wood details that recall Norwegian ships.
The lower level will provide flexible community space for exhibits, special events, workshops, film and small scale theater. The sanctuary is up a flight of stairs and is suited for audiences up to 200 for live music, film, theater and special events. NNWAC invites arts organizations to partner as resident organizations to develop a full calendar of events.
The current configuration is not ADA accessible, but planned renovations will make these improvements, when we reach our capital campaign goals.
Volunteer Opportunity: NNWAC welcomes volunteer advisors with professional expertise in historic rehab, construction, marketing, strategic planning and café service.
Teaching Opportunity: Artists who teach workshops. For details contact: acmeartworks@gmail.com
