NNWAC is working with several property owners to secure work space for artists in Wicker Park and Bucktown. Local developers MCM are moving forward in their plans to demolish our old incubator space on Western Avenue. Acme Art Works had provided 12,000 sf, serving more than 38 artists for more than eight years with gallery and work space, darkroom, and film production. The Acme Art Works exhibit and workshop space attracted an audience of 10,000 each year in a year round calendar of events. In a flash, we are so quickly displaced by luxury condos.
NNWAC offers subdivided second floor loft space at 1327 N Milwaukee with studios that range from 300 sf to 1000 sf minimum one year lease.
